Liberty!
Posted by Patrick on Tuesday, November 02, 2004We just got back from the polls. We successfully voted, both for a presidential canidate and for various state related questions. Felt good to be part of the whole process. This was the first time I've voted for president. Many thanks to Kate for helping me register!
The people at the polling place were pretty weird (yet noble in their volunteering spirit). One lady seemed really angry about life, and had trouble finding our names in the book. Then I guess they lost one of the ballots, so there was some trash-digging about to occur when we left.
The winner won't be declared for hours, or possibly weeks. In the mean time, we'll admire the cool stickers we got for casting ballots.
