The Waiting Game

Posted by Kate on Wednesday, October 11, 2006

That could really be the title of all the posts for the rest of the month.

Tonight we are meeting with a home ownership counselor type person for some one on one counseling. I don't really have any idea what they are going to ask us. I am filling out their application right now. Waiting for Pat to get off the phone so I can go into his office and find some more documentation.

Yesterday I finished 7 more pages of our wedding scrapbook. Scrapbooking sounds really fun to me. I don't know why this particular project seems like such a chore. Perhaps it is the sheer overwhelming number of photos that we have from the wedding. I have 8 pages left to go. Just waiting to get more adhesive.

Not that I am complaining, because I definitely am not, but time off would be much more fun if I had unlimited funds and all my stuff here and unpacked. We are trying not to spend any money. So I am just window shopping over the web for things I want to buy sometime in the future when I have an income again and we have the mortgage under control.

Like kitchen chairs to replace the ones we yardsold.

And a bed and bureau to replace the set we returned to Chris.

A desk to replace the one we gave to Kim and Anne.

A mattress to replace the one we left at Rockland Ave for the new tenant.

A lawn mower.

A washer and dryer.

And then I am of course thinking of all the new decorating possibilities for the first floor, maybe a new futon cover, frames for some photos I want to print....

I could go on and on. But really its all just about waiting.
