Posted by Patrick on Tuesday, September 19, 2006Kate and I have now been North Carolinians for two weeks! I can't believe it! Kate's been busy finding us a more permanent shelter, and we're meeting with a lender on Thursday who is hopefully less shady than the one Kate mentioned in the prior post. The whole home purchasing process is intense and complicated, and involves a great deal of math, I'm thinking.
Working from home is still pretty sweet. I've been able to do lots of work, without falling to the temptation of laziness. Cable internet is key. I can't believe how much faster it is than the DSL we had was. Bytes go up, bytes comes down, no line - no wait. I've even been able to use the DS wirelessly for the first time. I wish I had the opportunity to meet new people in a workplace kind of way, but the 4 second commute is just too sweet to ignore.
