Local Eats
Posted by Patrick on Friday, September 15, 2006As part of our relocation, both Kate and I feel its important to sample local food. This fact, plus an empty freezer, made it a good night to get out and get some supper. We stopped in at a local restaurant called Brigs, which was a mostly breakfast kind of place. It was really good. Good service and tasty food. Kate had french toast, fruit and home fries and I had a turkey sandwich on a croissant.
I don't think Brigs is a chain, and that's ok with me. You can only do the chain restaurants so many times (although the local Papa John's has proved to be quite tasty). It reminds of me Briggs Video store, in the same town that Kate's Mom lives in. It's a rare day to find a non-Blockbuster video store, where the owner is there all the time and has probably seen all the movies there. Briggs Video was this kind of place, and it was a sweet rental experience.
Hope we can find a rental place down here like that.
