The Black Creek Greenway

Posted by Kate on Saturday, November 04, 2006

Yesterday I went for a walk on the Black Creek Greenway. Actually, I walked the entire length of it. The internet reports it anywhere from 2.25 to 3.5 miles long, so I guess I walked about 6-ish miles. It was very pretty with all the leaves changing, although most of them were already on the ground. Guess I should have gone last week when they were in their prime. The first part of the path follows a creek through the woods and the last part of the path ends along Lake Crabtree. I took lots of photos. I saw three Great Blue Herons, but I didn't get photos of them because they were pretty far away and I didn't think they would come out. There was someone else there with a very large lens on his camera and he got much closer to them. Now when I see heron photos in a gallery I will be wondering if I saw them taken.
