Frankenstang

Posted by Patrick on Tuesday, July 05, 2005

Congrats to my dad who, after 16 years, fired up his 1971 Mustang Mach 1 and drove it under its own power yesterday. He's been working on this car for a loonnnnggg time, meticulously restoring key parts like the turbo encabulator and muffler bearings. It's nice to know that it will soon be my personal burn-out machine ready for showing and cruising.

What's behind you is not important

Mach 1

While my own preference for cars tends to side with newer imports, I have to respect the 'stang, as it probably has more low-end torque in it's windshield wipers than my car could ever hope to have.

It's Alive!!!

That's a nice looking car.

1989
Here's a photo of the car from 1989 when my dad first rolled it into the garage. I don't know who those kids are leaning on it, must be the neighbors kids or something. Could that boy pull his socks up any higher?
