Today was nice out
Posted by Patrick on Saturday, February 05, 2005Did you leave the house today? If not, you are living in a world of regret right now. The Rockland-Ave.com Thermometer recorded a temperature of 50 degrees at high noon today, prompting Kate and I to get our walkin' shoes on. And while slushiness was abound, it was nice to get outside again.
It's such a New England thing... zero degrees one week, 50 degress the next week. Climate changes like that in other parts of the world would mean the end of entire animal species.

We went to the Providence Place mall today, and it took us an hour to move from our parking space to the outside of the mall garage. One hour. We were moving at 0.001 miles per hour. Whomever designed that garage, and its twisted, tourtured, pay-to-park system, should be forced to endure that kind of waiting every day for the remainder of their lives.

Right now we're watching It Takes a Thief on The Discovery Channel. This show is unrelated to the 1960's Robert Wagner show of the same name. Two former burglers meet people and break into their homes (with their consent) to show how vulnerable their homes are. It's creapy, and scary. At the end of the show, they give free security related goodies to the owners, and return the loot the stole.

Dennis has redesigned his site again. Simple and effective, and always a cool photo with each posting. I feel the need to redesign Rockland-ave.com now!
