Kalamazoo, zoo, zoo, zoo, zoo zoo
Posted by Kate on Tuesday, January 11, 2005Well actually I didn't go to Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids is about an hour north of there. But it was a zoo! Kim and Anne have two dogs and when I left three cats.
On Saturday, Kim was in a volleyball tournament. Her team did really well! Kim told me I would be fine to use the flash on the camera (because action shots are blurry without it,) but then I got yelled at by someone who said I caused him to miss a hit! Oops!
We went to two scrapbooking stores. One of them was huge! Any event that you could think of they had scrapbooking supplies for. You could even scrapbook about your scrapbooking hobby! It was kind of overwhelming.
On Sunday, we went to Lansing with Anne's parents to pick up the kitten that Kim and Anne will be catsitting until Anne's parents come back from Austrailia and take over as cat parents. That sounds kind of confusing, but Anne's parents are adopting a cat, but not taking it home until they get back from their monthlong trip. Does that clarify or leave you more confused? Well anyway this cat is so sweet! He was so cuddly and purring all the time. And brave to be putting up with two dogs and two cats (who seemed less than interested in getting a new roommate.)
Kim petting Chester (the new cat.) he is about 12 months old.
This is Geyser hiding, because he was outraged that they had brought another cat into the house.
Cutter apparently remembered me from when we catsat him while Kim was away at Coast Guard boot camp. He was very friendly, much more friendly than I remembered.
Casey was very excited to have new friends over to visit.
Scout was very sweet and a bit shocked by the close up flash on my camera.
So I had fun. It was good to see everybody. Yay Frequent Flier miles!
