Post Holiday

Posted by Patrick on Monday, December 27, 2004

Christmas was pretty cool this year, spread across a 3-day weekend. We did some Christmas Eve at Kate's mom's house, Christmas Day at my folk's place, and then some day-after-Christmas festivities with Kate's dad's family here at Rockland Ave. We had 13 people in our living room, far exceeding the recommended daily amount of guests. It was a good time, nice to see family. We each got some fabulous prizes.

We also got some snow on Sunday, lots of it. Maybe close to a foot. We went for a walk mid storm, and saw a beautiful sight. An 8-cylinder Mustang (I think its one of the Saleen models) had just pulled out onto the hardly-plowed Rockland Avenue, and the rear-wheel-holiday-dance began. Traction vanished, replaced by snow shooting in all directions. Hundreds of horsepower spun into the snowy wind. Beautiful? No. Funny? Oh yes.
