The Shower

As many of you know, yesterday was my surprise bridal shower. I want to thank everyone who came- I know Memorial day weekend is a busy time for people.
The party was so beautiful! We had a very elegant room at Kirkbrae Country Club. They served brunch/lunch and we had a very tasty strawberry shortcake-cake. I got lots of great presents and had fun opening them with the help of Chris, Kim, and Kristen, who had a very efficient system set up. According to some guests, I cut so many ribbons, that Pat and I are going to have a minimum of six kids (a little scary.)
Kim and Anne made the favors and helped set up the “time” theme. Kristen traveled all the way down from New Hampshire and helped me keep track of which gift came from which person. And Chris… well if you know Chris, you can imagine!! Although I hadn’t realized she was such an accomplished liar, I am really grateful for all the things she did to make the day perfect, everything from handling the rsvps, to Master of Ceremonies, to carrying my gifts to the car. I also want to thank Nancy and my Mom for all their help…and conniving!! I really appreciate the effort that everyone put in! It was really a perfect day.
