Purgatory
Yesterday was a quality day. In the morning we went to Purgatory Chasm in Sutton for some Hike Club fun. We had a huge group and great weather. I also didn't fall down a steep rock-face, always a plus.

The Number 8 carWe then went to Thompson Speedway in Connecticut to watch my dad take some laps. My mom signed him up for a one-day racing school as an anniversary gift, and yesterday was the big day. After some training and a ride-along lap (with a skilled driver) they let him loose on the oval track. Kate and I got to watch from the pit area, and see him crawl in and out of the car Dukes-of-Hazard style. I was pretty jealous, and maybe someday I'll give it a try.
