TreeHugger Electric
Posted by Patrick on Saturday, April 16, 2005In our last electric bill, the power people put an advertisement in for some environmentally friendly electricity. Being the semi-environmentally friendly people we are, Rockland Ave has decided to enroll in this fancy hippie power. 
For about five bucks extra a month, we're now getting half of our electricy from greener pastures, like solar, hydro electric, and wind power. For just a wee bit more a month, we'll hopefully score a little planet-karma.
What a message to send to "the man"! If lots of people signed up for treehugging electric power, it would become more popular and maybe more cost effective. If you're so inclined, here's the link to New England GreenStart. They offer service in Massachusetts and Rhodey.
