Posted by Patrick on Wednesday, April 26, 2006My present day love NPR radio probably stems from the subliminal educational messages in PBS' Sesame Street. A childhood favorite for sure. Letters, numbers, Muppets, groovy 70's jazz - Sesame street was all good.
Except for one pair of characters.
One. Awful. Pair.
The Yip Yips. These damned Martians gave me nightmares. I was quite sure that these Muppets would be the premature death of me. Who knows why, but I couldn't deal with any skit they were in. Their mouths!

Luckily, I was able to rise above their terror, and move on with my life. The nightmares passed, and I'm able to function in society. Seeing this video today brought it all back though, but I stayed calm, and repeated they're just puppets....
