V for Vendetta, W for Weekend.
Posted by Patrick on Tuesday, March 21, 2006Last weekend was fun. On Friday went to a Saint Patrick's Day party with some FSC friends in Waltham. Scott and a bunch of other folks were there, and it was a good time. I drank a Guinness, which seemed to be appropriate for the day. We also watched The Fifth Element which is quality.
Speaking of quality filmage, Saturday we met up with Pete, Tracy, and a bunch of other folks in the Pete-circle and hit up the cinema to see V for Vendetta, which was great.
Kate and I both enjoyed this movie - advertised as an action flick I think, but a much deeper film. A tale about Britain 20 years from now, where it's all about Big Brother, conformity, and spin in the media. What makes this movie great is how believable a future it creates. Go see it. Yes the guy's mask is a little goofy here in the photo, but it feels less goofy when you see the movie.
