I'm not sure why people haven't approached me on the street, at random, during the past few years and said Patrick, you should be watching 24. It's all that and a bag of chips..
I've been watching the most recent season, 5, and its good stuff. Each season consists of 24 hours, in sort of real time, taking up the span of a single day in the life of the main character (Jack Bauer) as he tries to save the world from all sorts of baddiness. He's like a very angry MacGyver, only less reliant on chewing gum and velcro, and more into shooting suspects in the knees to get answers.
This is another one of those shows where missing a single episode would set you so far off track that you could never, ever get back in... just like another fav of mine (and Kate's,) Lost.
