Relaxin'

Posted by Patrick on Tuesday, August 30, 2005

This week I'm off from work. No specific plans, other than a little slacking and hanging out with Kate when she's off on Thursday. Today I had the oil in Kate's car changed, and now I'm watching 12 Monkeys, which I've wanted to see for quite some time, but hadn't gotten around to it yet. I was unaware it was directed by Terry Gilliam, who directed the equally bizarre Brazil. I watched that a few months ago, a far-fetched social commentary that, while made in the 1980's, offers some interesting parallels to today's society. Kind of 1984ish.

12 Monkeys is pretty good so far.

This past weekend myself, Kate, Scott,Pete, and some of Pete's friends went camping in New Hampshire, at a campground called Ayers Lake Farm. We had a good time, despite the torrential rains that fell on Sunday night. (For what its worth, Coleman tents are quality). We even squeezed in a quick mountain climb.
