Be Positive
Posted by Patrick on Thursday, January 29, 2004Despite Worcester's slushyness, I hit the donor center on Plantation street for a little blood donation yesterday. The Red Cross called up a few weeks ago, and I said "sure." My last blood donation with them was kind of lame, I had to wait a long time (it was a radio station blood drive) and I had to stay late at work to make up the time.
This time was much better. Instant service, very nice people, and best of all: free pizza. If I could, I think I would donate once a week for free zaa. I was in and out in less than an hour. I don't wanna preach, but maybe more folks should be giving up some pints. Seems like an easy way to score some Karma points in life. Plus, they let you know your blood type, and if have any freaky unknown diseases (and I'm happy to be freaky-disease free).
