Round Up
Posted by Patrick on Monday, December 01, 2003Hope ya'll had a good Thanksgiving. We here at Rockland-ave had our Thanksgiving supersized, first a meal at my grandparents in Natick, then another one at Kate's dad's. Good time, tasty food.
Saturday we went to Pete's place for a little shindig. Played some Scrabble and a slightly unfair but pretty funny game called Apples to Apples. Got to see Scott's new ride, a sweet new Toyota Matrix.
Speaking of Matrix's, here's a speedy review of some movies I've seen lately:
Requiem for a Dream : A tragic tale of some Junkies. Good music, creapy shooting-up scenes. This movie should be shown in all high schools as a low-cost alternative to the DARE program.
Phone Booth : Short, tense, slightly surprising. Kate reminds me that I said this was going to be lame when it first came out... in fact I was wrong. Not so lame.
Matrix Revolutions : The final chunk of the trilogy. I'd say it was ok. Special effects where special, story was less mystical than the last one.... more "good vs. evil" here. Happy to see Agent Smith, who's the coolest villan I've seen in a while.
Elf : Funny! see it!
