Holidaze
Posted by Patrick on Tuesday, December 16, 2003Christmas Shopping is insane. Normal, sane people turn into mindless shopping zombies, perhaps myself included. Is this really a good idea? Perhaps we as a society should rethink how we celebrate this day.
Instead of dumping huge amounts of money into a single holiday for multiple people, we should just increase the gifting on birthdays. That way, everyone still has a day to look forward to (birthday), and the financial burden of shopping for x number of people is divided over the whole year, rather than a single month.
Either that, or everyone just stay out of the stores on Thursday when I go to finish my shopping.
