Shamoo

Posted by Patrick on Tuesday, October 14, 2003

Last weekend at Rockland Ave, we re-arranged a bit, and moved the Mac back out into the living room. I am pretty happy about this, and a certain Rockland ave resident is very, very happy.

See, Mac's have way rad screensavers. If there's something cool in the universe, some geek has made it into a screensaver for the Mac. So, I recently set up the Atlantis screensaver which has whales swiming around. Back and forth, in full OpenGL glory.

Moses enjoys the screensaver emensely. He is fully convinced that fish swim in my monitor, and that they will at some point come out one of the sides. He sits on the desk, and smacks the monitor screen in hopes of catching a tuna-safe dolphin or some other whale snack.

I've created a simulated picture here:
Whales, dammit!

Moses, ever the protector of Rockland Ave, even attacked my monitor while I let my guard down. He ran at full speed towards the desk, knocking the monitor off it's stand and tossing speakers every which-way.

And that is my Cat-Screensaver-Whale Tale.
