Randomness Again?
Posted by Kate on Sunday, March 04, 2007Once again, this morning Pat and I were discussing blog ideas. I was looking out over our floor covered with pretty papers, stitched kitties, scissors, rulers, envelopes and other crafting paraphernalia and thinking, hmmm I could blog about this. Pat and I have dozens of post ideas all the time, most of which never make it onto the computer. Its kind of interesting how it has changed the way we think. Instead of, hey, I could tell a coworker about this or call a friend, we think, hey I should write this up and share it with the blogosphere.
My previous boss also wrote about this on his blog, coming up with the term "putting on his bloggles." While I am pretty sure I could never use that term, I really get what he is saying. But since his blog is about paper art and this blog is about... well any random thing that happens, I tend to think up ideas to post a little too much.
Pat is thinking about writing posts on the weekly new phone books that are delivered here and his love of Count Chocula. And I am thinking of writing about the quilt that I finished this week, the buds on the trees and daffodils on lawns, my love of bluebirds, and my new robot cards...
I read a ton of crafting blogs and I sometimes think hmmm, maybe I should have a "crafting only" blog and use it to drum up new business for my shop... But I really like posting about totally random things and sharing this blog with Pat and I don't want to keep up two blogs right now.
